Previously unseen footage showing a Planned Parenthood employee allegedly discussing the sale of aborted babies’ body parts emerged on Tuesday. This comes years after then-Attorney General Kamala Harris confiscated the footage in her capacity as California’s top law enforcement officer.
The five-minute video features a conversation between Dr. Stacy De-Lin, the Medical Director for Abortion Services at Planned Parenthood New York City, and an undercover journalist from the Center for Medical Progress (CMP). Throughout the discussion, De-Lin appears to acknowledge that Planned Parenthood engaged in selling the livers of aborted babies.
At one point, the CMP investigator suggests, “I could pay you $1,000, up to $1,500 for a liver.” De-Lin responds, “Yeah, that’s great. I think a financial incentive from you guys, like, to the people we have to get this approved from, will be very happy about it,” according to the CMP video.
In 2016, Harris’s office executed a raid on the home of CMP President David Daleiden, confiscating footage just two weeks after she met with Planned Parenthood officials. Not coincidentally, the organization had explicitly requested the computers used for the undercover videos be seized. Daleiden argues that the full videos explain why Planned Parenthood was so desperate to cover them up.
“You can see just from the first video why Planned Parenthood tried so hard to cover this up for eight years,” Daleiden told The Daily Wire. “They spent years and millions of taxpayer dollars trying to ensure that the admissions on these undercover tapes never see the light of day.”
A federal judge in 2016 barred CMP from releasing the complete confiscated footage for eight years. However, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) obtained the video through a subpoena earlier this year. Her office began releasing clips of the footage earlier this year and unveiled the full video on Tuesday.
The footage includes De-Lin allegedly admitting that Planned Parenthood New York City performed illegal abortions, specifying that they conducted “fully intact” dilation and evacuation (D&E) abortions, which are considered partial-birth abortions.
“We certainly do intact D&Es,” De-Lin states after the undercover journalist offered to pay more for intact unborn babies.
According to Daleiden, the comprehensive footage is “too incriminating to explain away.”
“There’s really no way that they can spin this stuff anymore. There’s no way that they can explain away admissions that are this stark and this obvious from their own top-level leadership,” Daleiden emphasized.
“And that’s why they went, eight years ago, to such incredible lengths to ask Kamala Harris when she was Attorney General of California to use the powers of her office to raid my home, try to seize all the original copies of the undercover footage, and prevent it from continuing to be published,” Daleiden concluded.
