Predictably, she denied any such involvement and insisted that she did not lead any movement to oust Biden. Instead, she claimed that Biden was performing “exceptionally well” at the time he decided to exit the race—a statement that even she likely doesn’t believe.
Pelosi went on to suggest that Biden’s “choice” to withdraw from the race might deserve recognition alongside the presidents immortalized on Mount Rushmore. The idea seems far-fetched, considering the circumstances of Biden’s departure and the widespread criticism of his performance.
This proposal to honor Biden in such a monumental way is not only unrealistic but also seems like a desperate attempt to rewrite the narrative of his exit. It’s almost as if Pelosi believes that simply suggesting such an honor will somehow erase the memory of Biden’s disastrous debate performance.
