Kamala’s Team Applauds DDoS Attack on Musk-Trump Chat

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign found something to celebrate on Monday—a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack targeting X, a major American tech company. The attack conveniently disrupted a live conversation between former President Donald J. Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk.

For those unfamiliar, a DDoS attack overwhelms a website with fake traffic, essentially paralyzing its functionality or knocking it offline completely. This particular attack comes hot on the heels of another issue: the FBI is investigating a hack attributed to Iran that breached Trump’s campaign emails. Yet, the Vice President’s team seemed more than pleased that both her chief election rival and a top U.S. company were targeted, using the opportunity to troll Trump on his Truth Social platform.

After the conversation wrapped up, Harris’ team couldn’t resist taking a jab, releasing a statement mocking Trump and Musk as “self-obsessed rich guys… who cannot run a livestream in the year 2024.”

Let’s not forget, Musk is no stranger to success. Besides acquiring X (formerly Twitter), he’s the brains behind Tesla and SpaceX, with the latter providing top-notch Internet access to over 100 countries via the Starlink satellite network. Meanwhile, Harris, who was appointed as the nation’s rural broadband czar back in 2021 with a hefty $42 billion budget, has yet to connect a single person to the Internet.
