Former Chief Patrol Agent Aaron Heitke dropped some serious truth bombs on the Biden-Harris administration this week, offering damning testimony about the state of our borders and how security has taken a backseat. Speaking to the Homeland Security Committee, Heitke explained that during his time overseeing operations at both the San Diego and Grand Forks sectors—covering hundreds of miles of the U.S.-Canadian border—he was explicitly warned not to share any information about the rising number of illegal immigrants with ties to terrorism crossing into the country. Let that sink in for a moment.
Heitke made it clear that the only real deterrent to illegal immigration is the ability to send people back to where they came from. But under the current administration, he noticed something alarming. “For the first time in my 25 years, whether by incompetence or on purpose, there was a large-scale failure in our ability to return people to their home countries,” Heitke revealed. Essentially, once these individuals entered the U.S., they were either detained or released—and guess what? The Biden-Harris team made sure detention space was slashed, making it easier to release more illegal aliens into the country.
And it didn’t take long for the world to get the memo. The fact that so many illegal immigrants were being released into the U.S. spread like wildfire, and the Border Patrol saw an exponential increase in crossings. Heitke pointed out that this surge forced agents to spend their time processing massive groups—hundreds, sometimes thousands—of illegal immigrants, effectively leaving the actual border wide open. He detailed how, in Texas, Arizona, and California, Border Patrol zones had no agent presence for weeks or even months. Those who didn’t want to get caught? Well, they simply walked right in.
But the most shocking revelation was when Heitke discussed the issue of “significant interest aliens” or SIAs, which refers to individuals with ties to terrorism. According to Heitke, before Biden and Harris took office, the San Diego sector averaged around 10 to 15 SIA arrests per year. But once the word got out that the border was basically a revolving door, those numbers skyrocketed to over 100 SIAs in 2022, even more in 2023, and the numbers continue to climb. And here’s the kicker: Heitke was told he couldn’t share any of this information with the public. The administration was desperately trying to sell the narrative that there was no threat at the border, even as potential terrorists were strolling across it.
So, while Biden and Harris were busy pretending everything was fine, agents like Heitke and his team were left scrambling, watching in horror as the border situation spun out of control. And if that doesn’t make you question what’s really going on, I don’t know what will.
