CBS Blocks Ad Exposing Kamala’s Support for Transing Kids

CBS has decided to block a political ad that takes a hard look at Vice President Kamala Harris’s support for taxpayer-funded “gender-affirming care” for minors. And let’s be honest, that’s no small issue these days. The ad, created by CatholicVote, aimed to raise awareness about these life-altering procedures being performed on children, something that’s becoming increasingly controversial. The timing? Perfectly planned to hit voters and parents in swing states just before the upcoming presidential election. But CBS apparently thought, “Nah, let’s not talk about that,” and decided not to air it.

According to reports, taxpayer dollars are indeed being used for these surgeries on children dealing with gender dysphoria. Medicaid records from Pennsylvania, Nevada, Michigan, and Wisconsin show that these procedures, including mastectomies and hysterectomies on minors, are being funded with public money. That’s right, taxpayers are footing the bill for these irreversible surgeries. But when CatholicVote tried to bring this up in their ad, CBS and Paramount shut them down, without offering much of an explanation. Seems like certain conversations just aren’t allowed on certain networks.

Brian Burch, president of CatholicVote, didn’t hold back, stating that taxpayers and parents deserve to know their money is being used for these “devastating and permanent” procedures on children. And he raises a good point: CBS and Paramount have been pushing the transgender narrative for years, so why the sudden reluctance to show what’s really happening to these kids? It’s almost as if they don’t want the public to see the other side of the story—how these media messages are translating into real-world consequences for families.

Some of the numbers are staggering. In Pennsylvania alone, nearly 100 young girls have undergone mastectomies, while a smaller number of minors have had hysterectomies. The state shelled out a whopping $16.7 million on these procedures between 2015 and 2022. Similar stories are playing out in other states. Wisconsin saw 86 minors undergo mastectomies and 12 girls have hysterectomies, while Michigan’s Medicaid data shows a smaller but still alarming number of similar surgeries. And then there’s Nevada, where over $12 million has been spent on transgender medical services for minors between 2015 and 2023. Taxpayer money, folks.

Of course, the Biden-Harris administration has been a strong advocate for “gender-affirming care” for minors, although they’ve been careful not to openly support surgeries for kids—at least not publicly. In response to the pushback, Neera Tanden, director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, reassured activists that the administration’s policy remains unchanged. While they continue to oppose state bans on gender-affirming care, the official stance is that surgeries are typically reserved for adults. Yet, the reality on the ground seems to suggest otherwise, especially when you dig into these Medicaid records. It’s a debate that’s not going away anytime soon, and CBS deciding to sideline it only adds fuel to the fire.
